"I have been extremely interested in modern art since my earliest days in ELP, but I never envisioned myself as someone who would create it," says Palmer. "SceneFour has enabled me to combine the two things I am most passionate about: fine art and music."
"I think viewers will be amazed when they see Carl's rhythmic approach and symmetric motion put to canvas. It captures a new dimension, not of this world," SceneFour Art Director Ravi Dosaj states.

RHYTHM IS THE MEDIUM.

Created over the course of 2012, Carl Palmers fine art debut is historic, as he pioneers a new visual art medium with Twist of the Wrist – rhythm on canvas.
Like a painter using brushes and paints, Palmer is utilizing drumsticks of different color and light temperatures to perform for the artwork's visual, with each beat captured and translated into a masterpiece.
Interested art collectors are encouraged to sign up at the website for more information prior to the February 1, 2013 release date. As part of this early interest list, they will have the opportunity to preview the collection and reserve part of the series prior to the worldwide unveiling.

Scene Four based in downtown Los Angeles, has become notorious for their Collaborative Art releases with music visionaries. Of recent, SceneFour releases with Chuck D, Bootsy Collins, The RZA, and members of Janes Addiction, Guns N' Roses, Incubus, and Def Leppard have been some of the most sought after fine art releases in the U.S. marketplace.

In February, Carl Palmer will embark on his 12th year of performing with his own group, now called CARL PALMER'S ELP LEGACY. His tour will take him to Japan, Europe, and both North & South America. Palmer has released four solo albums since the last ELP tour 1998. They are: DO YA WANNA PLAY?, a 2 CD anthology and WORKING LIVE Vol. 1, Vol. 2., and Vol.3, (released on Eagle Rock). He has released a 2006 Concert DVD - Carl Palmer In Concert; an art film The Solo; an instructional video of his drum solos; and has a new concert DVD, Decade, being released in March 2013. Since his last solo tour, Palmer has remained active with ASIA (Geoff Downes, Steve Howe and John Wetton), touring and recording since they reunited in 2006. The band recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary.
